Why was ther NO banquets for the last 2 yrs,EVERYONE else has 1 - Sun Mar 21, 2010 6:45 pm
fmrracer4thturnfan wrote:I was just wondering why the most accredited speedway in the southeast hasnt had a banquet in 2 yrs, seems like every track has a banquet, even the small tracks! Ive heard the same story 2 yrs in a row,ECONOMY IS BAD..doesnt seem to affect the other tracks! Maybe the banquet money is going to Matt Hagans funny car? This is sad ,not to recognize the drivers who are at the track every week, bust their butts to put on a good show to win a championship! Then no banquet? what gives?
I agree. I wish they would have a banquet. But then again. Motor Mile would have to live up to its high standards, even having a banquet. To me people would probably expect it to be fancy and stuff. Alot of the smaller tracks, do have banquets but there are less people that would come and which means less food and less room reserved. If Motor Mile were to have a banquet, you could almost gurantee ALOT of people would come making it verrry expensive. Which would also make the price of the tickets for the banquet expensive for the people. But this is just what I think. But i agree with the statement above too.

I heard there are suppose to be quite a few new street stocks coming to Motor Mile this year. Some from Lonesome Pine and some from Orange County. This is not certain, but it looks like Motor Mile is going to have a HIGH car count in ALL divisions!!! Good Luck to everyone this year!

Ol' deep pockets Rusty Skewes needs to buy Franklin County and run it on Friday nights in conjunction with Motor Mile on Saturday's. I know he has the jack to make the deal!
I AGREE 100%

2010 Season - Sun Dec 27, 2009 3:32 pm
I agree. That number 84 limited will be coming full force. He gets better every single race. He actually had a great season last year for being the first year racing at MMS. Just got caught up in the wrong place at the wrong time a bunch of times. Soo keep your eye on the 84 and his team. I believe there gunna be a force to be reckoned with.
I do believe many people will be surpised next year with the 08 mod4. He don't have whole lot of experince in the mod4 division at MM, but he deffinaty has the determination to go far this upcoming racing season.
Its going to be tough in every division with people like the Barnes and his crew, also the Hurt crew running in LS. Matt Taylor, and Rodger are both gunna be tough to beat in the LS. But not just in LS, in every division I think you gunna have to use your brains. Its deffinatly going to be a tough season for all of the drivers and there crews.

Thanks guys. We are pretty much gunna have a brand new street stock for the 2010 season. I think we will be able to compete with Barry and the other guys for a championship. Barrys a great guy and racer. Id like to see him win the championship. But my team and I are gunna give it everything we got this year, we are determinded to win that championship. But good luck to all the drivers in 2010. Its gunna be a some great racing, I can feel it now! Boogity, Boogety, Boogity

It's kinda like hockey. Some people go to watch them play the game. (Side-by-side racin for the lead) Some people go just to watch the fights. (a wreckfest) I go to watch both!

I think the race was very exciting! So what if it took them forever to complete one lap! It was high quality enterainment. I hate to see all those race cars get tore up like that. But its martinsville.
Congrats to Rodger and Barnes.

Yea, Barnes ran Late Model and won a Championship at I think friendship? Im not 100% on the rules, but I was told that it had to be NASCAR sanctioned track. But again, that is NOT a fact.
